THE HISTORY OF E'LAST

ON MARCH 25, 2019, Won Hyuk and Lee Wonjun were introduced as the first public trainees from E Entertainment through PR videos for survival show Produce X 101. They had staggering ranks but diligently worked at their performances and had many opportunities throughout the program to showcase their talents to the public, thus gaining them stable individual fanbases.Following elimination, they returned to E Entertainment, where they prepared for a fanmeet on August 14, 2019, with three unknown trainees, cumulatively known as EBOYZ.We found out these trainees were Rano, Choi In, and Seungyeop, quickly following the fanmeet. For a while, EBOYZ was comprised of just these five members. On December 31st, 2019, Baekgyeul was revealed as the 6th member of EBOYZ. Romin, the 7th, was revealed on January 31, 2020.After a while longer of EBOYZ just being comprised of these 7 members, Yejun was revealed as the final member on March 28, 2020.The group's name was announced as E'LAST on May 11, 2020. The name's meaning is an abbreviation of the word "everlasting" — to quote Rano, “Time-based ‘Eternity,’” combined with “spacial ‘Infinity’”.The day before they debuted, on June 8, 2020, they announced their fandom name to be ELRING,a combination of E’LAST and ring, in reference to the idea that in order for E’LAST to be there, all we need to do is call or “ring” them.

E'LAST debuted on June 9, 2020, with title track "기사의 맹세 (Swear)" (lit. A Knight's Oath). The album, titled 'DAY DREAM', sold 1,794 albums in its first week, and the music video for "Swear" reached a cumulative 350,000 views across two channels in its first month following release. Today, "Swear" has 1.9 million views. The members promoted "Swear" on music programs for 10 weeks, marking one of the longest promotion cycles for a K-Pop group ever.As promotions for 'DAY DREAM' died down, Wonjun was offered the role of Boni on EBS's "Boni Hani", a children's program promoting education. He thus went on hiatus for a brief period so that he could participate in this opportunity.

As 7 members, E'LAST had their first comeback on November 11, 2020 with title track "눈물자국 (Tears of Chaos)" and album titled 'Awake'. The music video for "Tears of Chaos" has since accumulated approximately 2.3 million views, and the first week of album sales totaled at 1,501 copies.Following promotions of "Tears of Chaos" concluding, E'LAST released the music video for b-side track "Dangerous" on January 12, 2021, which they promoted on music programs for approximately 4 weeks.During the period between “Dangerous” and the next comeback, Wonjun made his return from his "Boni Hani" schedules. There was a brief rest period for all members during this time frame as well.

On May 3, 2021, E'LAST U was revealed to be making a unit debut. The members that comprised this unit were Choi In, Seungyeop, Romin, and Wonjun. They released their digital single "봄의 시작 (The beginning of spring)" on May 19, 2021, which they promoted for approximately 3 weeks. As it was a digital single, there is no associated sales data with this release. The music video for "The beginning of spring" has 1.8 million views today.

After a few more months, it was announced that E'LAST would be making a comeback in September, their first 8-membered release since debut. The single album, titled 'Dark Dream' with title track of the same name, was released on September 29, 2021.The music video for "Dark Dream" became their most successful yet, reaching 11.3 million views since its release. To top that, their sales skyrocketed with this release, reaching 16,483 copies sold in its first week, which itself is a 998% increase in sales from the first week sales of 'Awake'.This quickly became E'LAST's most successful comeback. Following the approximately 6 week promotion cycle, they prepared a music video for b-side track "To.Lie", an upbeat and bright track very opposite to the vibe of "Dark Dream". They went on to promote "To.Lie" for another 3 weeks.

E'LAST took a four month break in between promotions for To.Lie and their next comeback, which proved to be their biggest break yet. 'ROAR', with title track "Creature" released on April 27, 2022, immediately meeting critical acclaim as the group's best release yet.The music video for "Creature" has, as of today, accumulated over 10 million views. The album itself, 'ROAR', sold 57,935 copies in its first week, proving that E'LAST are seeing incredible growth in between releases. These sales increased 251% in comparison to the first week sales of 'Dark Dream'.On July 2nd and 4th of 2022, E'LAST held their first ever concerts in Osaka, Japan, and Tokyo, Japan respectively. These shows were finally able to happen following certain safety measures of the COVID-19 pandemic being lifted. These were the first times the members of E'LAST were able to perform most of their songs in front of ELRING, so it is a very special and important note.On August 8th, 2022, it was announced that E'LAST would be embarking on the first leg of their world tour in October, starting in Latin America. They completed it successfully on October 21st, 2022.Early 2023, Seungyeop received notice from the South Korean government that he would have to enlist in the military on January 31st. He did so and is currently diligently serving his country, and he will return on July 29, 2024. E'LAST will remain active as a 7 member system until then.On February 20th, 2023, E'LAST will be releasing a comeback single titled 'THRILL'. Please look forward to it!
